Big Sandy's Barndance Boogie

With over 40 award-winning years performing rockabilly swing shows all over the planet, Big Sandy knows talent when he sees it!

That's why he invited this hand-picked group of accomplished rockabilly, R&B and western swing artists to his first annual Barndance Boogie.

He knows they will have you swingin' and dancin' the night away at a new location for rockabilly and blues: The PCH Club in Long beach.

Oklahoma City's Jimmy Dale Richardson has been making a name for himself the past few years, with gigs at Don the Beachcomber and Viva Las Vegas, and most recently won the 2019 Ameripolitan Award for Rockabilly Male in Memphis. With his original honky tonk songs and upbeat rockabilly blasters, he is the perfect headliner for a show featuring all this talent.

WILD RECORDS' Josh Sorheim plays 1950s rock n roll infused rhythm and blues. This Minnesotan is a fantastic all-around musician, exceptionally skilled guitarist, lap steel, harmonica and piano player. His original compositions are as straightforward and earnest as the artist himself.

Abby Girl & the Real Deal bandleader Abby Maharaj was nominated for the 2019 Ameripolitan Awards Rockabilly Female.

Abby Girl is at ease singing with blues greats and belting out her original songs and rockabilly tunes. People most often comment on the rich, warm tone of her voice. San Diego News recently wrote that Abby Girl “is blessed with an impressive voice, which echoes Patsy Cline...a vintage sound that will also appeal to fans of early country music or rock’n’roll.

Lil' Sue & The Cow Tippers are a fun honky tonk band that pays western swing and rockabilly, both covers and originals. Hand-picked by Big Sandy for this show!

The other star of Big Sandy's Barndance Boogie is the PCH Club itself, recently remodeled and with a large dance floor, free parking and a new dinner menu. Our shows at PCH will commence at 8 pm and keep rockin' until whenever we decide to call it a night. Best of all, it's in a Best Western Hotel - so dreamland is only a few steps away. You may recall the club for its Golden Sails reputation as a swing dance hall in the past.

Come early and stay late, just don't miss this kick-off event of our latest location in Long Beach!
