Chuck Mead + Cadillac Angels
Chuck Mead is a founding member of one of the most critically acclaimed alternative country bands of the '90s, BR5-49. Mead has also been musical director/supervisor for the hit Broadway musical "Million Dollar Quartet" since 2006. Mead brings together vintage country, rockabilly, and no-frills rock & roll, creating a sound that generates a swing all its own: classic '50s honky tonk, Western swing, boogie, Bakersfield country, rockabilly, and Gram Parsons-style country-rock.
Joining Mead is the Cadillac Angels, an American rock trio featuring Tony Buck and his "Electric Americana" sound.

Buy TicketsCorb Lund Returns
A rural Albertan hailing from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with a long family lineage of ranchers and rodeo people, Lund is about as authentic as they come, and equally as hard to define.
The western Canadian singer-songwriter is an elusive artist — onstage, offstage, and in the studio—seamlessly weaving between the outlaw country, Western, and indie-folk realms with an honest curiosity and rowdy devotion to each. He was raised with the tried and true DIY sentiment of “if you want something done, you gotta do it yourself” launching his career recording in his basement, printing his own shirts, booking his own tours, being his own manager and publicist... whatever it took to get it done.
He toured for years with the indie-metal band the smalls, and later turned his sights to writing Western songs, creating a unique and quirky hybrid writing style along the way. He has received multiple domestic and international award nominations and wins.
In 2022, Lund won his 14th career Canadian Country Music Award and made his debut at the historic Grand Ole Opry earlier this year as well.
His album of originals, El Viejo, is due February 2024.
Full band and dance floor at JAX.
Corb has added Branson Anderson to his tour, a talented, tenacious troubadour from small-town Utah with a Dylan-esque twang and a handful of timeless tunes.

Western swing is about as rootsy as music gets, considering it originated in the 1930s - and includes influences from blues, honky tonk, jazz and polka. Combined, the music creates a swingin' beat that is eminently danceable and listenable.
On the auspicious occasion of Bob Wills' 119th birthday (born March 6, 1905), Stellar Shows presents a Western swing celebration featuring three of the hottest bands performing in the genre, plus music historian Big Sandy as our DJ on Sunday, April 28.
Dave Stuckey & the Hoot Owls bring a limitless jukebox of western swing to any party - but this festival show allows them to dig deep into their musical library to showcase their particular brand of vintage jazz.
The Southwest Biscuit Co. is everything that is good about Western swing, retro jazz and big band orchestras. Whether it's an original number or a classic cover song, the band evokes memories of Bob Wills and Hank Penny with all the right rhythms, correct vocal inflections - and tasty licks on their solos.
Sterling Drake hails from Nashville and is the 2024 Ameripolitan Honky Tonk Male of the Year. His talent and knowledge of western swing makes him a natural for this Bob Wills celebration. Don't miss a chance to see a real up-and-comer who is outstanding in the field of hillbilly jazz.
Situated in the Campus JAX supper club, this celebration features the best sound around, a 4-star menu and free parking.
18+, reserved seating, full menu and fast service.
The dance floor is OPEN at Bob Wills' Birthday Ball!

Petunia has spent most of the last 23 years crisscrossing sections of Europe, North and South America, playing his old hobo haunts, hitch hiking junctions, street corners, dive bars, churches and rundown theatres. He's more than just an entertainer, he's a modern musical enigma.
A restless wanderer, a musical historian, and a quirky yet amazing talent, Petunia is simply a Canadian treasure joining the greats from north of the 49th.
A poem by Al Mader describing Petunia:
Razor sharp hombre
all snake eyes and boxcars
steals a kiss from a raven-hairedflapper
slips out the side window
of a 1920s speakeasy
Out fleet-foots a flatfoot
hops a train to
Buddy Bolden’s tombstone
wins some horseflesh playing
high stud –
pitches camp beneath a prairie sky
watched over by a full moon
and a lovesick coyote
howling for mercy…
Come enjoy the camaraderie of music lovers like yourself.
Free parking, full menu, all ages and a big dance floor.

ORANGE COUNTY’s OWN JOHN McEUEN
As a teenager in Orange County, McEuen worked in the Disney Magic House, where he met Steve Martin and took up the banjo as a way to get on the radio. Martin became his first student.
John McEuen brings with him 45+ years of worldwide performing with his banjo, fiddle, guitar, and mandolin. Often referred to as 'the String Wizard', he weaves stories of his travels and family life (he has raised 7 kids), taking us through where his musical path has taken him.
A founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1966, John instigated the 1972 classic Will the Circle Be Unbroken album, (inducted in to the Library of Congress as 'one of America's most important recordings). He has earned Emmy nominations, Grammy Awards, CMA acclaim, The Western Heritage Award, and many other accolades can be found on his website: www.johnmceuen.com.
Proud to be an integral part of the first American band to go to Russia (in 1977!), John's love of performing is evident when during his shows he takes us 'behind the curtain' of the music world that so many of us know of only as listeners, and shows us how we have all been a part of it, more than we may know.
McEuen's XM radio show, Acoustic Traveller, is in its 6th year, and you can find his new Americana Music Show on Syndicatednews.net (of which he is CEO)
As winner of the 2010 Best of the West Performer award from the Folk Alliance organization, John's show is sure to be one enjoyed by all. He also won Best Bluegrass Album Grammy that year for his production of The Crow - Steve Martin). John in June of 2013 was honored with the Charlie Poole Lifetime Achievement Award in North Carolina.
With music from 1860's to now, original songs laced with known hits, and a special tribute to the 'Circle' album music (and the stories behind it), it all comes to life in an evening of acoustic music in overdrive.
