The legendary Hillbilly Jazz matinee series continues with another great lineup on Sunday Sept. 19. This roots music mashup features three genres with a dance floor and a great menu, and we present it cabaret style so patrons are seated to enjoy the show. Also, the Campus JAX sound system is the best in SoCal - while the menu just rocks (entree required, starts at just $10). On top of that. we stream our shows worldwide.
Here's the lineup:
The Southwest Biscuit Company follows a long proud tradition of big bands of the 40s and 50s playing great Western Swing dance music that keeps you on the dance floor from the first song until the last. Playing classics like Bob Wills and Billy Jack Wills, Hank Penny, Tennessee Ernie Ford, as well as contemporaries like The Lucky Stars, The B-stars, Big Sandy and many others, you will find their originals just as enjoyable.
Jimmy Dale Richardson had to cancel due to Covid.
In his place, Deke Dickerson, the Ameripolitan Award winner for 2019 Musician of the Year, will perform a solo set between the Moontones and SW Biscuit Co. Deke is a great addition to this Hillbilly Jazz lineup with his vast roots background: rock and roll, rockabilly, Western swing, rhythm and blues, surf, hillbilly - and even punk are among his many accomplished musical chops.
The Moontones are LA's hottest dance band. It's a big band with a big following, and yes - they have horns! Lead singer for this show is Miss Kitty, and this band will have the dance floor jumpin'!
Make your reservations now for this exciting show. All our artists have been selected to perform the previous week at Viva Las Vegas, so this is likely to sell out FAST.
