Kid Ramos & Johnny Main & The 44's at Original Mike's

A Midsummer Night's Blues & Rockabilly Dream is a blend of blues and rockabilly that takes you back to the days of Duane Eddy, Link Wray and Dick Dale,

The 44’s are a Los Angeles-based band playing blues-roots-rock music on the Rip Cat Records label. Their loyalty to a remarkable blues tradition goes back decades through the James Harman Band and the Red Devils to storied greats like Howlin’ Wolf, Albert Collins and Muddy Waters.

At Original Mike's in Santa Ana, Kid Ramos and Johnny Main put their signature sounds together again to create timeless rhythm and blues and honest-to-god blues rock.

Ramos, who's been entertaining audiences with his blistering guitar skills for decades in bands like the Fabulous Thunderbirds, has a strong history with this band. Main, the bandleader and original member of the 44s, grounds his outstanding singing and guitar playing in real experience.

When Ramos gets together with Johnny and The 44’s, the tightly-wound group plays like their lives depend on it. And since music is their livelihood - it does. This is the best of the best.

When you add their special guest Abby Girl to the mix, the scene takes on a vintage blues vibe.

Look for an appearance by the teenage heartthrobs Johnny and Jaalene who are making their mark as creative artists in their own right. Johnny Ramos learned to play guitar at his father's knee, and Jaalene Serenity has the voice of an angel.

The opening band, The Rayford Bros., has a distinct vibe all its own. The Rayfords are a vintage style rock n’ roll band from Southern California that performs 50’s and 60’s rockabilly, rock n’ roll, and surf favorites as well as originals that have a vintage sound and feel.
